Fighting Food Insecurity in the Stillwater Community
Although Stillwater appears to be a thriving college town, 31.2% of the city's population is enduring poverty. Through local food pantries, churches and school resources, the community has attempted to combat the issue.

Voices from Our Daily Bread
As community leaders and organizers have noticed food insecurity's prevalence in Stillwater, a resource center was created to combat the issue. Our Daily Bread is a facility that offers groceries, toiletries, hygiene products and haircuts to those who are in need. The staff and volunteers are continuously pouring into the community in numerous ways.

First United Methodist Church
Although food insecurity affects numerous people, children are more likely to be susceptible to hunger. The First United Methodist Church operates a take-home food program for students of Stillwater Public Schools.

With the help of community organizations, there are resources available to the Stillwater population.
